Will models newer than Arlo Pro 2 record on existing Arlo Pro 2 7 day free cloud subscription?

Hi All

I have had the Arlo Pro 2 with 3 cameras for a while with the free 7-day free cloud subscription.  I was thinking of adding another 2 cameras to get the maximum 5 cameras that can be connected for the free 7-day cloud subscription.

Do I have to buy only Arlo Pro 2 cameras or can I buy 2 newer ones like Arlo Ultra, etc. and it will have access to the free 7-day recording?

I read that all the newer models after Arlo Pro 2 have to have paid cloud subscription after 1-year free trial and trying to avoid paying a subscription if I can use my Arlo Pro 2 free subscription.

The 7days free cloud storage feature ended back in 2018 for camera models after the pro2.

You can only have a max 5 pro2 cameras on an account before you require a subscription.

Any newer model cameras require a subscription to record to the cloud unless you want to use the local base storage which will require a newer model base to work but with access limitations.

 If you can get the 12month free trial subscription option it would be better value than the 3month or 30days option. Else look for some more pro2 cameras.

Well, you could get one or two newer models, and get a single camera subscriptions for them.  You would still get the free storage for the the Pro 2s.

I don't mind the Arlo Pro 2, I can just keep an eye on the second-hand markets to see if I can buy 2 more cameras.

Just wanted to have the ability to store the videos on the cloud so I can view them anytime and 7 days is more than enough for me.

The new cameras look great but just trying to avoid additional monthly ongoing cost.
