When I download a video from Arlo onto my photos file on my IPhone 8 the video won’t play and gives this message when I try to edit it.
UNABLE TO LOAD VIDEO
An error occurred while loading a higher quality version of this video.

Looking at it more, it does appear to linked to iCloud/Photos - I couldn't edit other videos I shared to photos either.
But I was able to find a work-around (clumsy)
- Create a videos folder in Files (on the iPhone)
- Use Share in the Arlo app, then "Save to Files" Save it to the Videos folder
- Select the video in Files, and trim it in Files. Save to a new clip.
- Share the trimmed video
Now the trimmed video will appear in Photos, and can be further edited (straightened, etc) if desired.
