Hello,

I have the the Arlo Pro 2 camera set up (Base station + 3 cameras). System has been working great and wanted to expand it so purchase an additional camera (VMC4030P).

Should have been as easy as holding the sync button on base station for 2 seconds and then holding sync button on camera and hey presto. However the blue light on the camera blinks blue for ages ands and then eventually blinks amber to signal sync not succesful. Tried this 20 + times, rebooted base station many times as well as removing battery from camera etc, still get same result.

To test the theory I removed 2 of the existing cameras and then attemted to syc them back again as if they were new and took all of 3 minutes to get them synced. So the base station is defenitely allowing cameras to be sync'd just not the new additional one 😞

Very frustrating, anyone else had this issue?

The answer is right in your post...

Should have been as easy as holding the sync button on base station for 2 seconds and then holding sync button on camera  ( tho some older info says to do this )

DO NOT hold the sync button on the base.... ONLY a QUICK press ... and then the camera button

( in older models and maybe still now, holding the sync button to long puts the base into a sort of programing mode and it will not sync )
