- I've been reading several post from a year ago with same issue. My arlo basestation is not updating. Everything i select the "Update," button, it just takes me back to my main screen. All my batteries are not charging properly and I believe this may play a major role. My frmware is currently: 1.28.1.0_4738_od0e9d8
Any help from lessons learned is greatly appreciated.

What is the model number of your base station?
have you tried factory resetting it?
have you experienced recent power outages or internet outages?
did you switch internet providers or change routers?

Why are you trying to update the base's firmware? Are you getting a notice in the app that there's a new release to add? WHich base (look on the bottom for a label that has VMBxxxx) and current firmware version?
Battery life likely isn't a base's firmware issue unless things have been moved around, causing connection issues. It's possible removing all devices from your account and starting fresh, as if new, may help although VMB4000s seem to have an issue with being able to reconnect once removed so be forewarned.
