Somewhat happy, although cannot detect license plates on vehicles entering driveway. Should I expect to be able to see that detail if I exchanged for arlo pro 2?

You do realize that these are very wide angle cameras, right? They are not ID=type cameras - you'd need something with significantly longer focal lengths to reliably see details, especially those at a distance.
