I have 2 Arlo cameras and have just hooked up (a few weeks ago) a solar panel to each. From what I could tell, the solar panels weren't doing much to help with charging. When I hooked them up the cameras were fully charged & since then their batteries have declined at a normal rate. So I unplugged the solar panel from one of the cameras to see if I re-set the camera if it would help. Now when I reconnect the solar panel to the camera I get an error message pop up in my app saying there was an issue with the charging (I can't remember the exact wording). So seems things are getting worse.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Am quite disappointed that I can't contact Arlo directly - but I'm sure the community will have some ideas! Thanks in advance!

Does it rain where you are?

I have had issues with rain and external chargers (not solar panels) and the message relating to charging issues.

On a couple of occasions the charger plug end was damaged by water, these were 3rd party chargers sold for external use.

On another occasion the camera was damaged by water.

On all occasions I had the same charging error.

When I replaced the kit I ensured that I used Arlo changers, but more importantly some silicon sealant to ensure water stayed away from the actual connection point in the camera.
