I have two cameras that can record and send notifications, without a subscription.
But now a third camera tells me i need a subscription to record?
Why?
How do i see recordings? I wouldn't have added this third camera if i needed to buy a subscription--when the other 2 cameras don't need subscriptions.

Newer cameras (Pro3, Pro4, Ultra, Essential, video doorbells) all require paid subscriptions for cloud storage.

I thought the first 7 day storage was free, no? I can't see a video if it was recorded the same day, without a subscription?

As @StephenB said on newer cameras you need a subscription. The Pro2 and older still have the 7 day cloud storage. You never said which camera model your 3rd camera is. So if it is newer and the 3 month trial subscription to smart expired the answer is no. You could use USB local storage but has many limitations.
