1 of 5 cameras has a problem. So far I have:
moved camera,
adjusted motion sensitivity,
removed/replaced battery,
powered off/on base unit,
removed and added device,
and put in a drawer.
Nothing helps. Camera records every couple of minutes, sometimes more often.

Is the problem camera first up in the list of cameras, try removing it from your account and adding it back again to place it at the bottom of the list.

When the problem first started it was the first camera. Today, I removed it and added it back at the bottom of the list. It still does it when mounted or in a dark drawer. Thanks.

Are the library recordings from the problem camera labeled motion or audio?
If labeled audio do you get scratching noises in the recordings?
If labeled motion, use the motion test utility in the camera settings menu to see if the PIR sensor is working correctly, you should get the camera front led show amber when you’re moving in front of the camera.

Hi Dannybear.
The videos are motion.
I got the camera out of the drawer and it took a 1:30 video of me waving at it and the lights never came on. Oh good I think. Sat down to do the motion test and notice they are on (my cameras have 8 small red lights). The motion test did light them.
Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

The red LEDs are the night vision LEDs, ignore these.
There is single LED (Fully Charged blue indicator) that is used for the motion test utility, it goes amber when motion is triggered while the test mode is active.
You should have the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, for the test, default is 80%.
See if can trigger the LED to blink amber with motion then stops when no motion is occurring.
What is being checked is if the PIR sensor is faulty. If the LED blinks amber continuously with no motion or does not blink at all with motion then it is likely that the PIR sensor in the camera is faulty.

The light blinks amber when there is motion during the test. Goes off with no motion.
I removed the battery overnight and put it back in this AM. Now it is back in the drawer. Will advise.
Thanks.

Well, I’m cautiously optimistic.
The camera behaved in the drawer for a couple of hours so I put it back up.
It has been fine for two days. Maybe leaving the battery out more than the 10 seconds I did the first time I reset it helped.
Will update in a week. Thanks for the help.

Hopefully things will remain working until the next time you change the battery.
I swapped out one of my pro2 batteries yesterday and found that the motion sensor stopped working. Confirmed failure using the utility. Everything else working fine.
Pulled the battery again for 10sec and motion sensor started working again.
I guess you have to do the battery reset method twice to get it working.

Well, it has started acting up again. 12 second recording every minute or so, even covered and in a drawer.
Any other suggestions?

Sure seems like it. Will Arlo do anything? Not sure what the warranty is.
Is there a way to contact support without having to pay for it? I can’t find one.

The typical warranty is 1 year, depending on your country. You can temporarily purchase a single camera subscription to access support and then cancel when you're done.
