Hi all. Having a problem with motion detection. When testing, they work fine I can see the yellow light with motion set at 80. However, they will not record anything. I can see the night vision Illuminators come on at dark, but still no recordings. I turned up sensitivity, but it only catches maybe 1 out of 4-5 events. The base is a model VMB4500R2. I restarted the base, pulled batteries out of cameras, deleted them from account and re-added them. It seems to MAYBE help for an event or two. That’s it. Disappointing considering the cost. And it’s not just one camera, it seems to be all. One camera will however record events of audio is set to record. But doesn’t pick up video motion. Thanks in advance!

Hi, yes I actually have a few times. they recommended the power cycling, removing base station from account, reinstalling and re adding the cameras. They are going to send me a new base station, there not sure but are hoping it may fix the problem. I get intermittent motion recordings still. I can walk by the camera and get nothing, but an hour later a squirrel will set it off. I have also noticed that the system does not seem able to record from more than one camera at once when they are motion activated. Is this also common? Or tied to my issue possibly? Thanks again!

Base stations are supposed to handle 5 simultaneous streams (though I am not convinced that they can do this under all circumstances).
One possibility is that the recordings aren't all reaching the cloud (perhaps due to a bandwidth bottleneck between the base and the Arlo cloud). What is your internet uplink speed?
If you have local storage (USB thumb drive, or microSD on some bases) you can check the local recordings against the cloud recordings - which might help sort out whether recordings are getting lost, or whether motion isn't being detected in the first place.
