The Pro 2 in my driveway will not see anything coming toward it when the yellow car is parked in there. If I walk under the camera and away from it, it picks me up straight away. If I walk from the road, or drive another car in the drive towards the yellow car, it doesn't activate at all.
If the yellow car isn't there, and I pull into the drive or walk towards the camera from the road it works perfectly.
I've tried all the settings, including active zone and nothing makes a difference.
Is there a fix other than not parking in my drive??

The camera PIR sensor works best when motion is across the Field of view (FOV).
Try relocating the camera to point it more down to the wanted area where motion is more sideways. While it is good to see entry and exit of the roadway, the PIR sensor is 25ft so it’s pointless pointing at anything further and the video compression smears out the detail anyway for motion.
Hope this helps.

Is there a difference at night? I wonder if the yellow paint is reflecting the suyn's IR more efficiently.

No, it's the same day or night. If the yellow car was not in the drive, it would detect it coming in the driveway right away.
I've moved it now to allow for more of a cross view, but I'm not happy with the view.

How about if you swap the truck and car locations ?

I will try that in a couple of weeks. I won't have time to try it until then.
Thanks

I am seeing many people reporting the same issue, which I also had. Plug it it! HUGE IMPROVEMENT in performance. I think the main thing when plugged in is that you get the 3 second preview feature, so once motion activates the recording it back tracks 3 seconds. It will capture EVERYTHING.

I did tests with moving the camera to more a side view. Results were about the same.
I swapped cars and with the grey truck in focus, it was a little better. I tried with no vehicles in the drive and much better.
The camera at the front door picks up everything very quickly. The only difference is the front comera is closer to the base than the driveway one.
It's really odd the yellow car would make that kind of difference.

I have it plugged in to a solar panel, but I don't see where to enable the 3 second preview. Is it automatic?
