My camera picks and chooses when to record. I had someone walk up to my door and throw a brick thru the window. Is there a way to get that video? I have random things like a dog walking in front of my house recorded but someone walking up and vandalizing my house it doesn’t record. Can you explain this and can I get this video somehow?

If motion is more or less at the camera, detection can be difficult (PIR sensors require motion across the FOV). Positioning the camera (or having multiple cameras covering overlapping their coverage) can help:

Testing is needed to ensure best coverage.
Videos not recorded or deleted for any reason can't be recovered. I'd guess there weren't any recordings to recover in the first place.

If you don't see it in your Library, then it doesn't exist in the Arlo cloud. If you have local storage connected to your base, then it would be useful to eject the storage, connect it to a PC, and look for it there.

The performance does vary, depending on enviromental conditions.
Three aspects -
- the motion detection range is spec'd at 7m (23 ft). While it can pick up motion that is further away it is not very reliable.
- the camera is most sensitive to side-to-side motion. So if someone is walking directly towards the camera (in the center of the field of view), then it might not trigger.
- The camera is also more sensitive to motion at the bottom of the field of view than the top.
I suggest using the motion detection test - walking around in the area you want the camera to trigger, while running the test. While you can adjust the motion sensitivity, you might get better results by moving the camera.
