No microphone recording from my iPhone?

I manually recorded a live video and talked through/via my old iPhone 6+ (iOS v12.4.6) at the same time. I did not hear my talkings when playing back my recording. Why is that? I am using Arlo Pro 2.

TMK, the video has always only recorded the incoming audio ( at camera ) not the outgoing audio ( you ).

It has been a one way channel ( tho it would be nice to have duplex )
