Has anyone experienced a loss of motion detection functionality while the camera is externally powered?

I can get the motion detection to work if the camera runs on battery only, as soon as I connect the power cable while using the detection utility it works again until I exit the utility mode, then it’s broken again.

This has only been noticed since migrating to the new arlo app from legacy.

Camera removal and resync has no effect, same for power cycling base and camera.

I have not, and I have recently switched my pro-2 to AC power and then back to battery.

FWIW, this can't be related to the app.  The motion detection path runs camera->base->cloud; the app isn't involved.
