I still don't know exactly how the motion boxes work. I drew one around my flag hanging near my porch and I am getting so many alerts. How do I get it to stop detecting the flag?

Motion detection is within the box. Outside of the box is excluded.

So I have a flag flying in the view of my front porch camera. How do I block that out so it doesn't keep detecting it and draining my battery

You should be able to set three wanted zones to isolate the unwanted area at a guess.

Or rotate the camera down. A frequent issue is trying to get too much view rather than what's really of interest. I want my sidewalks and driveway in view, not cars on the street or airplanes.
