Looking at Arlo 2 for business entries (QTY 5) about 150 feet apart, do others use this in business?

It seems more and more are going away from wired, high cost security systems.

We want to be alerted and be able to monitor 5 entrances on our business:

1. Will this take up too much storage with all the employees going out and in?

2. Do others use these for business requirements?

3. Is the Pro 2 the recommended model for indoor/outdoor?

4. Any concerns for needing multiple base stations to cover distance?

5. Any gottcha recommendations or things to be aware of before purchasing as we compare options?

No. Currently there's no limit to storage in the cloud. You can also NOT record but just be notified, if that's sufficient.

2. Do others use these for business requirements?

We've seen some posts here that have identified themselves as business users but there's no specific area for them. You should note that there are business plans available, depending on your needs. 5 cameras fit in the free basic plan so you may need nothing extra.

3. Is the Pro 2 the recommended model for indoor/outdoor?

The Pro model has somewhat better night vision due to the 720p resolution vs. the Pro 2's 1080p. Whether that's a concern is up to you and the available lighting (external lighting means it's not an issue since the cameras wouldn't switch to night vision).

4. Any concerns for needing multiple base stations to cover distance?

"It depends." (TM)  If your scenario includes significant distance, metal obstacles, 2.4GHz interference, etc., the best solution is more bases, appropriately positioned to get good signal connections between the base and cameras. Certain cameras would be synced to certain bases to get the proper signal strenght/quality. There's no limit on the number of bases, just the total number of cameras.

5. Any gottcha recommendations or things to be aware of before purchasing as we compare options?

Especially for high traffic areas, I would recommend each cmera be AC powered so you're not charging the batteries every few days. Spec battery life is based on <5 minutes per day of total recording and live viewing. You can record short clips or not record at all to save battery if the wall power is an issue.

I would also recommend using a UPS for your modem, router and base(s) so they don't go offline due to a power outage. That way the system still has access to the servers during that outage and will continue to detect, record and notify. Leaving the batteries in the cameras, even when AC powered, ensures the cameras work, too.

Depending on your needs, there's also the CVR (continuous video recording) subscription for your AC powered cameras, too.
