Have you tried rebooting the base unit ( power off then on )?

What base station model do you have?  (Look for a VMBxxxx label)

Have you ejected the USB storage and checked it on a PC?

The VMB4000 and VMB4500 support local recording, but do not support playback.  All the recordings you see in the app or my.arlo.com are stored in the Arlo Cloud (using the free 7-day cloud recording feature of the legacy cameras).

The ONLY way to see the local recordings is to eject the USB drive using the app, and then connect the storage to a PC.

If you are saying that you are no longer seeing any recordings in the app, then that is an issue that some other users have reported.  The mods can do a remote re-sync which will resolve it, so please do post back if that is your issue.

I have had this system for 6 years now, all recording was stored on the USB installed in base, never had cloud, or paid for subscription, notifications were sent to my phone, with notifications turned on, just recently there has been nothing in the library for all five of my cameras.

Never had to eject USB to see recordings before.

You aren't the first to be confused on how the system works.

Once again - your base DOES NOT SUPPORT PLAYBACK.  All the recordings you've been seeing in the app and my.arlo.com are stored in the Arlo Cloud - NOT the USB drive.  You didn't need to pay for a subscription because your legacy cameras were sold with 7 days free cloud storage.

I am tagging the mods - @BrookeN , @JamesC , @ShayneS - so they can do a back-end sync of your system.  That should restore the normal operation.  They will reply after they've done this for you.

Can you reboot your base station and test again?
