Camera Models VMC4030P Pro 2 - 3 of them

Base Station VMB3500r4

Arlo app for Android - on two Pixel phones

Web portal - used occasionally, same issue

LIVE VIEW does not load in the Arlo app when we click on the camera to view a live picture/video.  This stopped working last week.  We can still see videos in our feed but cannot see live video.  I had to repost this discussion because when it was fixed for a couple hours yesterday, I marked that other post as solved.  After that short period, it stopped working again.

We are not using the same login credentials.  We are not trying to use LIVE VIEW at the same time.  We do not have a storage/service plan.  We bought these years ago and have the free 7-day local storage on our base.  I'm afraid to remove the cameras from the system and try to add them back because I hear there may be an issue with adding them back to the base.

I understand that Arlo said services might change for unsupported devices but I NEVER thought that they'd take away LIVE VIEW.  I just assumed we'd lose storage or the feed.  We use these cameras to monitor a side of our house that has no windows.  This malfunction just made our Arlo system useless for that purpose.  I don't think I would buy more products from a company that would do this to it's users.  If this issue does not get fixed, we will consider similar systems from other companies.  I'm open to suggestions if you switched from Arlo to another brand.

Please help!

I know that the arlo pro2 Cameras can get upset if you don’t perform a factory reset after swapping out the camera batteries.

A factory reset can be performed by removing the battery from the camera for 10sec and reinserting it again. It forces a resync with the base station to reconfigure the Camera settings.

Another issue they have is if you resize the camera display in the camera video settings. The camera is unable to handle different video sizes so it eventually becomes unstable and eventually stops live viewing. Factory resetting is required to restart the camera. If they are externally powered, removing power for a few minutes and then reapplying can restore live view operations. If this keeps recurring then consider resetting the camera video size back to full size to prevent it recurring.
