It depends on what hub you have.

Several of the new models can connect directly to your home wifi w/o using the hub.

Arlo stopped offering 7-day cloud storage on new camera models 5 years ago.  All of the currently sold cameras require an Arlo Secure subscription to get cloud storage (that is, video recordings).
