I have added a custom mode so when one of my cameras alerts it records as well as another one. but the second camera only records now and then if at all.

Do you subscribe to Arlo Smart? That may be the reason for intermittent library videos - Smart thinks it wasn't a subject you wanted. You  can also use a USB drive for your base to see if the "missing" videos are recorded there but not showing up in the cloud library. Note that if you have the VMB4000-- base you'll have to safely eject the drive to view videos on a computer.
