I have a vmb 4500 smart hub connected via ethernet to my modem. Intermittently the status light will go from solid blue to blinking red and then the app says the cameras are off line. If I reboot the smart hub it goes back to solid blue, but then will go blinking red again. I have solid internet, with a fast connection, so I doubt that is the cause of the problem. Any ideas?

It could be the ethernet connection.
Have you tried a different port on the gateway? Or a different cable?
Next time it happens, try disconnecting the cable and reconnecting it, and see if that brings it back on line.

FWIW, I've noticed on random occasions that the same thing happens here with no known problems. I suspect that someplace in the connection between the hub and servers isn't working. This could be your ISP, the servers or anyplace inbetween. Rebooting the hub may bring back the connection but it may be that during that time the Internet issue has been resolved.

True, but I'd still start with checking the ethernet connection between the hub and the router (which of course is the first leg on the hub->cloud server connection).
