This is for the Arlo Pro 2 camera with the VMB4000 base station.

Say I have cameras 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 with a single base station. I currently have a custom mode that runs camera 1 by itself 24/7, but I would like to add a second camera into this mode.

Is this possible with 1 base station? Thanks.

A rule relates to an individual camera and what occurs.

When you edit a mode look to the bottom of the page for the add rule option and add in the next camera and choose what it does.

You can have all 5 cameras operating in a custom mode by editing the mode and adding new rules for each camera.

Thanks.

I’ve tried and tried and I’m not seeing how. I take a “rule” to mean say camera 2 will record if camera 1 detects motion etc.

Would they all be motion activated too?

Thanks.

After editing I was able to figure it out. I’ve only been trying when I want to add a mode.

Much appreciated.

Yes, it gets easier once you figure out how. There lots of FAQs about.

I find that using the phone App is easier when setting up but repetitive. The web browser has a trap in that it doesn’t automatically select the next camera and you end up with all your rules using the first camera as the trigger.
