I installed 3 Pro 2 cameras several months ago. Recently one of the cameras went off line. I recharged the camera and the system cannot find the camera when I try to add new device. I have rebooted the hub and I pressed the sync button on the hub quickly. The camera flashed blue a few seconds, then flashed amber a few seconds, then flashed blue for a few seconds. The system continued to try to find the camera for a couple more minutes then reported it could not find the camera. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion about which model I was having problems with. I wish Arlo would identify the cameras. Anyway, I started the add new device procedure, but it would not scan the QR code. After I did the factory reset it connected. I appreciate your help.

Removing the battery for any reason doesn't require re-syncing. Once the battery is reinserted (assuming it's actually charged) will allow the camera to power up and restore its connection to the base.

However, if there's a problem for whatever reason, remove the camera from your account and add as if new. Be sure to only briefly press the base sync button - don't hold it.

Hi  jguerdat,

   Thank you for your reply.
The Pro 2 does not have a removable battery.
I deleted the camera from the account and tried to add it as a "new device" and the hub is not finding it.

Sorry but the Pro 2 certainly has a removable battery - I have some. Note the 2 buttons on top of the camera - the one towards the front is the sync button and the one just past the split in the case is the battery door release.

When you recharged the battery, did you get the solid blue LED on the camera indicating a full charge? If not, you may want to consider using this process:

If your cameras don't have a removable battery, then they must be Arlo Essential models.

Hi ,

I'd be very surprised if this Pro 2 has a removable battery. I've attached pictures. I also have the box where I bought 3 a package of 3 Pro 2 cameras.

Thanks, Chris20221128_124119.jpg20221128_124104.jpg20221128_124037.jpg

Agree that the battery is not removable.

But it's not a Pro 2 - it's an Essential Spotlight XL (VMC2032).

OK...thank you. Not sure how I messed up the boxes they came in.

The camera is at my church. I'll try to add a "new device" tomorrow or Wed and let you know the results. I appreciate your assistance very much.
