How Do You Set The Time & Length Of Video Recording

I have tried to follow instructions on how to extend the length of a recorded video but when I go int Mode the is nothing to pick.  How do you change this?

The directions neglect the statement that says you need to click on your base. Then all modes will show up for you to edit.
