How do you get the backs OFF the mounting hardware ?!? Both the indoor and the outdoor types.

There is a piece that gets secured to the wall. Then the bracket attaches to it. The piece that goes on the wall seems to still be in the bracket and I can't get it out.

mine came as one wall mount piece and does not come apart... I don't think you need to , just slide the screw in to the slot.
