Homekit live stream lag

When I load a live stream from the Arlo app it usually takes about 4 to 5 seconds yet with the exact same camera in the HomeKit app can it take up to 30 seconds. Why is this?

Is this delay consistent and reproducible or is this an intermittent issue?
