Fireware Update with low level battery

A fireware update is required for your camera but it’s battery level is too low to proceed

How do I overcome this? They are on charge but nothing is happening

Do the cameras show the battery icon with a lightning bolt through it? If not, something about the cahrging isn't working. Make sure you're using the original Arlo charger that has both 5v and 9v outputs - the batteries require the 9v output to charge.
