Like the title says, random times when my system is armed when I am away from home I get anywhere from 20-111 motion recordings almost right after the other. No rhyme or reason and doesn’t do it all the time. Most of the time the system is fine but will randomly do this and drain my battery. I have rebooted the system multiple times and have removed devices and removed batteries and reconnect to the system.

Pretty disappointing given how expensive these cameras are and paying a yearly subscription for the smart notifications.

It may or may not be related to detection (sun's IR being reflected is a big culprit) but you haven't given us enough clues nor a detailed explanation of what you've tried.

For starters, is all firmware up to date? Post screenshots of the camera views. You may want to reset the system byt removing everything in Settings, My Devices and start fresh.

I have contacted support multiple times, restarted my base station, and removed my cameras from the system, disconnected the batteries and reinstalled the cameras. If you read my whole post you will see I stated that. 👍🏻

I did read you original posts and you didn'tt say a thing about resetting the system and starting fresh, which is what I suggested. A reset is not a power cycle of the base nor removal and resync of the cameras.

A reset is done by removing ALL devices from Settings, My Devices and starting fresh. Use the Add Device selection in the Devices tab to claim the base. Then sync the cameras. Update firmware as you go if prompted.

Hi @jguerdat I did a reset where I removed both cameras and wiped out everything and started fresh. Problem only happens maybe once a week. I had to reset the whole system and remove and add cameras for a separate issue of not recording and sending push notifications.

Happened again, usually only during the day, if it is the sun what am I suppose to do about that? It doesn’t do it all the time only once a week if that

Backyard, I assume. Could be the flag waving in the wind which, of course, is variable. I would rotate the camera down so the top of the view is maybe the top of the fence - you really don't need the sky. If that's not appropriate, you may to reposition the camera to a different location - cover only the area of interest, not the whole neighborhood.

I’ll give that a shot and see what happens, happens in the front yard as well just not as much.
