Hello all. Starting a few days ago, with the most recent update to the Arlo app, I am now receiving double notifications on all Moen detect cameras on my system. This has not been an issue before. I’ve been sure that all hardware is up to speed, in terms of firmware updates, and no new app updates available. Anybody have any ideas?

I’m trying it out! I followed the steps you outlined and then walked in front of my camera to trigger a notification and I only got one so far… so we’ll see! 🤞I also updated my phone from ios17 to 18 since I posted on this thread earlier- but I also saw someone posted that they are on the latest iOS and app version and still experiencing the issue. Again, we’ll see! Thanks for the tip!

Unfortunately, it did not last. I started getting between 2 and 4 notifications again for every event.

Same issue here. iOS 17.7.2, current Arlo app. Has been going on for quite some time now but I just now decided I was fed up with it enou the to search. Low and behold there are multiple threads talking about the same thing.
Amazing and sad that Arlo hasn’t solved it yet!

I was in the same boat- dealt with it for a LONG time and finally got fed up and decided to search for a possible solution. However! I tired the troubleshooting steps in this thread several days ago (post by PJUT on Nov 21), and the issue stopped and hasn’t come back yet. I also updated my iOS from 17 to 18.1.1. My Banners were still turned off, I turned those back on just now- so we’ll see if that brings the issue back.

NM. I fixed it by uninstalling the app and re-installing. All good.

I've been having the same issue with my Arlo Doorbell. If I silence the call, my iphone eventually rings out and then my phone rings again, which is really annoying because it interrupts everything that I'm doing. I have noticed that if my phone is unlocked and I decline the call, then I do not get a second notification.
I have raised a ticket with Arlo. They asked me to remove and reinstall the app on my phone and also factory reset the doorbell. Both these steps made no difference and I am now waiting to hear further from them.
I did flag to them that I have seen numerous posts including this one, where lots of people are complaining about the same issue. I am in the UK and they told me that I am only the second person that has reported this issue. So I would say that if you are having this problem, then please can you also raise a ticket with Arlo and hopefully the more people that they hear from, the better chance that they will get this resolved.

Fixed it for me, at least with my testing this morning. - I updated from iOS 17 to 18 last weekend, but still had the duplicate notifications every time anything happened that was supposed to notify me. I just deleted the app and its data from my phone then reinstalled it as suggested above. Now when I swap modes, it only gives one notification for each swap, unlike the two I was getting just minutes ago. Hopefully it stays.

Mine has been sometimes okay following the IOS update. However just when I think it is all better I will get a double alert and 2 banners. But when I go to look at it there is only one banner. I will keep an eye on it and create a ticket if it keeps up.

I am also one that has been been putting up with the double notifications for years and finally decided to search for the issue. It's most annoying when I am focusing on the full screen while playing a game and I get the banner for a notification, quickly swipe it away, then about 2 seconds later get the exact same banner coming down again.
I am on app version 5.3.4 and iOS version 18.1.1.
The funny thing is when my phone is in my pocket and I feel two alerts (bzzzt...bzzzt) about 2-3 seconds apart I can be assured without having to pull my phone out of my pocket that I just got an arlo alert from one of my cameras :D.
I would really like a solution. Nothing mentioned in the thread so far has worked for me.
in my case the setup involves several wired Q cameras and a wired doorbell. And it occurs for every alert type (motion, sound...)

Unfortunately, we haven't heard from an official Arlo source in quite some time.
I think the only solution that will work is to not purchase additional Arlo products and transition over to a system which addresses its users needs when bugs arise. It seems the Arlo folks no longer serve that purpose.

Did you already delete the app with its data, then reinstall it? That did fix it for me.

Yes indeed I tried that ... no joy, sadly.

I’ve been liaising with Arlo to no avail. One of their suggestions was to upgrade the app on my iPhone which didn’t help. Word of warning, the upgraded app lacks a lot of functionality in the existing app and I would really recommend against it. At some point they are likely to force this “upgrade” on everyone.

I've upgraded and agree with you. The look is better but it is rather clunky not being able to able to disarm all the cameras at times when it is necessary. It's also rather annoying that it will double notify when changing the 'modes'.
It's been several months of these multiple notification issues and seriously surprised Arlo has not figured out the issue.

If you’ve upgraded the app, Arlo will downgrade it for you. It took a few days once I asked them but very glad to have the original version again.

How about some sort of update from the Arlo "Team"? If my "team" took 7+ months to resolve an issue like this we'd all be fired. These constant double and triple notifications are more than annoying. You've forced me to pay for a monthly subscription I don't need and now you can't be bothered to fix your product. Congratulations, this is how you lose customers and go out of business. If anyone else on this thread has moved on from Arlo and found a better system that won't break the bank, please let me know. Good luck.
