Does free 7 day iCloud storage mean linked to iCloud? If so, how?

My recorded videos in the library disappear after a few hours. This is meant to come with a free 7 day iCloud storage. Am I meant to link it to iCloud for the videos to stay in my library for 7 days? If so how do I do that?

Firstly, the videos are stored in dedicated Arlo cloud storage, not iCloud, which implies Apple.

More importantly, the videos don't get deleted until the 7 day period is done. Is there a chance that you have a filter set in the library? If so, that can make it appear that videos have "disappeared".
