Hi,

I just bought an Arlo Base Station VMB4540 and wanted to connect my Arlo Pro 2.

First I deleted the camera from the previous base station.

I installed the new base station in 2.4 network. It was successfully installed.

When I try to add the Arlo Pro 2. The camera and base station start blinking blue but the camera is unable to connect to the base station. I tried to installed it several times on the app and on the computer with no success.

Could someone please help me.

WHat happens if you reinsert the camera battery to reset the camera? You can also manually try to connect the camera to the hub by first briefly pressing the hub's sync button followed by the camera button.

Thank you. I have already tried to reinsert the battery and reset the camera. And manually trying to connect the camera to the hub. They both start flashing fast but they don't connect.

This is a problem that's been plaguing legacy cameras owners for a while now. The camera LED shows as connected but it's not in your account as displayed. The "fix" seems to be to migrate the account to the new one (the apps support 2 different interfaces, the old one that uses Library to view recordings and the new one that uses Feed). To do this, choose to install a Pro 5 even though you don't have one - the first step is to migrate the account. You can then back out of the install without trying to complete it. Any custom modes will not transfer and I strongly suggest looking through all settings, modes, rules, schedules, geofencing, etc. to ensure they transferred properly. Here's an FAQ that may help get started:

Thank you very much. This solved my problem! I needed to migrate. Thank you again!
