I understand I don’t need the battery in Arlo pro2 camera when plugged in permenantly.
My question is can I use a standard micro USB adaptor at 5volts(1.6amp) safely for the purpose of full time use?..
I can see the adapter supplied with the camera has a 9 volt capability but I think that is just for the fast charge of the battery.
Is this correct?..
Will it be ok to use a 5 volt (1.6amp) standard adapter for full time camera power without the battery as I have a few of these already or do I need to purchase the specific Arlo adapters?...

Yes you can use a standard 5v adapter when you have no battery inserted. Keep in mind though that this may void your warranty.
