I have a VMB3000 base station with 5 cameras. I want to add the Arlo Pro2 VMC4030P add on camera and pay for cvr plan for this one camera. Will the Pro 2 work on this base station with all features ?

I don't think CVR is available for your base.  At least the VMB3000 isn't on the list here: https://kb.arlo.com/1018425/What-is-continuous-video-recording-CVR-and-how-do-I-get-it

Thank you for your fast reply. Ok now I know I will need to upgrade my base station. Thought it best to ask before I buy.

Actually, I think you should use two base stations.  The spec says at most 5 cameras can stream at the same time.  Using both eliminates that possibility from getting in the way.

So keep the first one as it is, and add a second for the Pro-2.
