Cameras Wont Connect Live On Computer

My system works fine from my Ipad and my Iphone but it comes up on my computer screen but wont connect live.  It takes a screen shot and then remains static.  I also would like to know how to update the software for bug fixes like this.  I see no link for updating the firmware or software?

On many computers, the newer Browsers have defaulted to turn off Flash....

check and confirm it is on properly
