I recently removed an Arlo Pro VMC4030 camera from my account while I was trying to fix an issue. However, now I can't add the camera back to my account. It simply won't pair with the base station or with the app itself (or through my account via PC).

I also can't factory reset it; when I hold down the SYNC button for 15 seconds, the light starts flashing blue, but it never flashes amber like it's supposed to during a factory reset.

The camera is fully charged, I've rebooted all the equipment several times and the camera shows the blue flashing light, is is not dead.

It was synced and working before, but it started to trigger randomly, so I deleted it to resync as that's what I was told to do by Arlo support (which is now impossible to access!!!) before when I had a similar issue.

No idea what else I can do and reluctant to reset the base unit in case it loses my other (working) cameras and makes the whole system redunct.

Any help would be gratefully received as I've now spent two days on this and losing the will to live! Thanks

Actually there is no way to do a hardware reset on the Pro (VMC4030) or Pro 2 (VMC4030P) cameras.  All you can do is remove/reinsert the battery to reboot the camera.

If you have a VMB4xxx base, you can try syncing directly without the app.  Put the camera about 3 feet from the base, quickly press the sync button on base ( led should flash on base ) then press the sync button on camera.

Thanks. Yes, I've tried all that more than a dozen times now and zero effect unfortunately. Basically looks like if your product is over a certain age, even if it's still working fine, Arlo aren't a blind bit interested (apart from trying to sell you support packages and more products of course!).

Sometimes my.arlo.com on a PC works when the app fails.

The mods might have some other ideas.
