Base won't connect

I have a base system vmb4000 and when I purchased a new essential camera it wouldn't connect to it. Articles suggested resetting the base and now the base won't connect to any of the old cameras I had connected plus barely stays connected to the internet and I can't get help from Arlo because I don't pay a monthly fee. I have been with Arlo since before this mandatory subscription and apparently they have iced me out completely. I was previously able to record events to my local drive on the base but at the moment my tech is useless. Can anyone help me get back to at least the bare minimum I had before?

I couldn’t get my flood light to connect to base for weeks but what worked for me was this set up devices without base first they mostly have to update which mine did after all is set up remove the devices and and then setup using base hope this works for you
