My Cable modem has an USB port to connect an external HD. I was wondering since Arlo pro 2 base provided with USB ports to attach external HD for recording, what if you connect both modem and the base unit with an USB 3.0 dual power cable? That way (I hope) you don’t have to remove the HD from the base to watch the recorded clips since modem has the access to the HD. Any one tried this or any thoughts?
