Arlo pro 2 video delay

Under settings, camera positioning theres a statement, "We limit the delay to help you see near real-time what your camera is seeing."

Why not limit the delay or do away with a delay all together? Why is Netgear creating a 8-20 second delay? This makes the two way speaker relatively useless. By the time I see them on my camera and use the Mic they're already gone and I'm talking to no one. Can someone explain?

My delay is 5-6 seconds but I do have quite a fast internet connection. Even still, I also get what you're saying and don't really use the 2-way audio
