So how are you supposed to adjust the activity zone on my pro 2 camera. Last 3 years have been a disaster now the required upgrade completely removed any control I have.

No directly plugging them in to an official arlo charger doesn't give you the option to adjust the activity zone and I did not buy the system because it had a subscription actually when I bought it it was advertised as not needing one.

So before I lose my mind can someone tell me how to adjust the activity zone and don't give me the nonsense I spent hours trying from the arlo info. This all happen because of the required upgrade. So since it doesn't work can I roll back. Are you planning on fixing the software.

What is odd here is that the feature is exactly the same in both the "Feed" and "Library" interfaces.  Pro 2 activity zones require either AC power or a subscription, and in both interfaces they are enabled/disabled from the video settings of the camera.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

While you should be able to create a zone without a subscription, it won't do anything because that is a subscription feature. Your free 7 day plan doesn't allow this to work unless you have the camera AC powered so the camera itself can do the processing. And, without that AC power, a message will be displayed indicating the need for a plan over everything when logging in. Removing the zone(s) will eliminate that message.

Arlo pro 2 camera are sold without the need for a subscription.

At that the direct connect dosed work

I had controls that has systematically been removed by Arlo

These are not new cameras

They were sold without a subscription for cloud recordings. ANything else was gravy and, according to the published EOL docs, features may be removed as updates and time goes on. That doesn't mean the detection and recording goes away but things like zones being processed by the servers may well happen. And, at some point, the cameras themselves may stop being supported at all, just as many other electronics vendors do the same thing.

Sorry but it worked out of the box I never asked for the update.

That said the update is useless for me but they have purposely made it so I must buy a subscription.

Also I never received any notice saying they were changing my ability to use the system and given any choice in the matter.

Both are required by law.

As the original owner and the individual that registered it under warranty when purchased is really no reason for me not to have received that information

So how how do I get it to work remains the question.

Whatever has happened now my video doorbell that I pay monthly for doesn't have activity zone.

So right now the subscription point is mute, however after re reading all the activities zone information from arlo I don't see any of it working.

And just an FYI the only reason the system was purchased was because there wasn't a monthly there were other systems at the time for less money that work perfectly well but had a subscription with other companies so I do think I'm justified in feeling taken advantage of
