The app no longer recognizes the base station. I've done all the troubleshooting listed on line for resets. There is no phone number to call. VMB4000 isn't listed as a base station product to troubleshoot. Help please!

What are the LEDs on the base showing, including color? Have you removed it from Settings, My Devices? Have you tried resetting the base by holding the button until the LEDs flash amber?

I’m having the same problem. My VMB4000 just quit working a couple weeks ago. I tried all of the Arlo support troubleshooting — no solution.

Need all details, what you've tried, what you see.

Again, I’ve tried a new LAN switch, a new ethernet cable, and a new (to me) certified, refurbished Arlo base station VMB4000. Again, I’ve tried the click test, switching ports on the LAN switch, power-cycling everything and the reset button on the base station. I still have left to right LED lights that are green, blank and amber. Other devices on my LAN switch work fine. I’m tired of dealing with this. I think I’ll switch to another outdoor wireless camera company unless I can get my Arlo base station on the internet and get discovered by my iPhone app.

What manufacturer/model switch are you using?

Can you try connecting directly to your router instead of through the switch?

Yes. I can try that. But it worked fine with the LAN switch up until about 3 weeks ago when it went offline.

I ended my Arlo subscription and will begin using another system. I’m sure I’m not the only to have a base station suddenly quit working. Even a new (to me) certified refurbished VMB4000 didn’t fix the problem. I would have thought someone from the Arlo Support forum would have an answer since I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to. The only thing I’ve gotten is guesses…try this, try this….from the Arlo Support forum. These are all things I’ve already tried. I’m guessing the Arlo base stations are designed to fail after so long a time…which maybe explains why they’re not selling base stations anymore.
