Arlo Pro2 not connecting back to Base Station VMB4000

Started off with a need to pull off both Arlo Pro2 camera from their set location for charging. After charging, the Arlo app wasn't able to connect to the Pro2 camera. On checking the Base station, it wasn't able to connect either.

Did a host of troubleshooting including the internet port cable, nothing works. So I did a hard reset for the Base Station. It is now working with 3 green lights and the Arlo app can detect the Base Station.

However, I have another problem now. In doing the hard reset, all the existing camera were removed, and needs to be reconnected. The problem is now they cannot be detected during setup - after synch both the base station and camera, where the base station has flashing yellow lights (for the camera) and the cameras had flashing blue lights.

To mitigate possible low power issues, I had test synch a camera that is still charging with cable as well. Same blue lights, but no detection. I did also notice that the Arlo phone app seem to be different - seems to also had a version update that was done automatically.

What could be the issue here ? Any suggests from Arlo experts?

@BrookeN Thank you for the quick response... I'll do that. Just to get my mind fixed on to where I'm headed... by adding a Pro 5, is that going to change the Win PC / browser user interface or the iphone app user interface? Or both?

Does it affect the base station firmware? Anything else?

The new user interface has quite a few changes. Everyone will be migrated to that new user interface at some point. This provides more information regarding the changes you will see. It will not change the basestation firmware as this is an app firmware change. It won't change the firmware on the cameras or the basestations.

@BrookeN   I read the FAQ and it truly seems like just a GUI redesign. In that case, my "software debugging" gut instinct is to first fix my issue (getting camera #5 to sync up) before introducing a new variable, or at a minimum an interface that I'm not yet fluent with. Your thoughts about my thought?

If anyone can help me make this work, let me add to the details.

Recap: I now have one VMB4000 pro base station with 4 pro 2 cameras successfully paired.

My goal is to sync a 5th, but attempts via the app, the browser/PC site and the button on top have all timed out, despite the blue light first flashing slow, the quickly, then turning off.

Perhaps unlike others, I have a 2nd VMB4000 base, so I connected it to power / ethernet and added it successfully to my account, including confirming that the firmware is up to date. I then removed it (from the acct) and reset it bas and repeated the single camera setup. I thought for sure that now I'd be able to add that 5th camera as a single one attached to the 2nd base. To summarize this 2nd base has a fresh reset and no cameras attached.

No luck finding the camera. On this second base I have all green LEDs.

I just have this hunch that the 5th camera is connected but the app isn't registering it. Can an Arlo person see it from the backend?

PS: I've upgraded to the latest app interface

@HitchN

Did either of you get resolution? I have the exact same issue where the 2 cameras' s/n pops up but I can only pair one at a time... then after that the 2nd camera is never to be seen again. I'm struggling here... Thank you!
