I have a Samsung S9 Plus connected via the App to my new Arlo Pro 2 system. All is well.
 
Except the camera speaker it is a whisper even at the highest level
 
Yet if I access it over my Apple Mac works fine.
 
I spoke to Support - I have done the following
 
1. Reinstalled the App - cleared the cache
2. Checked microphone/phone permissions in phone settings for the App
3. Removed the cameras and resynched with the base station
4. Restarted the base unit
5. Tried another Android phone that did not work either 
6. Made sure camera volume is at the highest
7. Double checked all microphone settings on the phone
 
And yet all works fine via Apple Mac
 
Anyone actually using a Samsung S9 Plus and it is the Camera speaker volume working fine?
 
Any other suggestions - spent way too long on this already?

If you have a external mic like a BT or cable , try that.

Some of the older androids had a "voice privacy" mode... not on the newer?

but also have you tried the equalizer section for matching voice? ( and or speaking right into mic )

This issue has come up before, some phones work, some don't ... good luck
