Arlo Pro camera speaker audio breaking up

I just got a 6-camera Arlo Pro system and am trying it out.  So far everything is working nicely and I'm pleased with the camera quality, especially at night.  Nice clear picture even in near total darkness.  But I have noticed one issue when using the Android app running on my Moto G7.  When I use the push to talk feature, and speak a phrase like "testing 1..2..3..4..5", from the camera you can only hear snippets of audio, not the whole thing.  I tried using a bluetooth headset instead of the phone's microphone but got the same result.  Is this a known problem?
