Why did they remove the ability to arm and disarm the alarm on the mobile app. Can only do it from the desktop website. Any way to get that function back?

You mean the pull-down stip near the top of the app display? It was changed quite some time ago because of people whining it was too easy to hit the siren in earlier versions.
