Hello
Being I have many issues with the Arlo Pro 2 id like to at least understand the order or operation in which the data goes through each stage of the process.
Im not sure how the order of opertion works but it seems the app programs the base station to perform its fuctions such as the schedual and other custom modes, and the app does not need to keep doing this once its set unless changes are made. The Camera feeds the base station the live feed, and the base station encodes and comrpesses the video. From what I understand the video at this stage gets stored onto the USB storage if you have one and the base station makes an attempt to upload the video to the cloud. The push notifications and emails must get sent from the base station using the connected router. To view the live stream the video must get recorded, encoded, uploaded to cloud before the app can view the live stream from the cloud hence the short delay.
It helps to understand the order of operation as to troubleshoot issues. Before I come to any solid conclusions to my issues id like to get some feedback on the order of opperation as from my understanding at this time it points to hardware issues caused by the recent firmware that many are having issues with. When its said "the engineers are working on it" what are they actualy working on, firmware, software app, their cloud?

You've got it all right. And for the engineers, we have no real idea what part is being worked on - could be any or all parts at once.

My issue is that because I had got this system on or just after the new firmware got release I dont know if I have a faulty system or its the firmware thats caused it all which gives me some hope. I will reset the whole system from scratch and iv done my bit then.

Right now it can be hard to say given the problems being encountered. Use a browser, not the app - it seems to work better.

After a complete reset of the whole system and cameras still system is still acting up with issues. Randomly detecting motion. I could go out my house walk down my path, get into my car and drive it off without any video created, yet I got push notification. While I was out it picked up a person walking by and a car which are both outside my zones. When I get back home it detects me. See image below, this was another motion detected from the car outside the zone yet after reset cars where driving past,
people walking past without this issue.
