In my area the temperature is often below -20c during winter, so i get a message that the camera needs to warm up.
Will it help to have permanent power supplied to the camera?
I figured the “error” is a battery protection

No... the battery will not charge below 32F but the cameras limit is -4F ( -20c ).  When the cameras get below this temp they will shut down to protect camera and battery.

You ( if you have ac power to the camera ) might try and pull the battery to see if it operates lower.... some have.

( funny but the original Arlo HD cameras I"ve had to -10F without issues )

There's a possibility that running permanent power will generate some heat in the camera enclosure, but who knows if it will be enough to cope with your temperature extremes?

Currently we are having -30c outside, and my camera without power is waiting for better weather.
The one on permanent power though is working just fine 😁
