I just purchased 4 Arlo Pro2 cameras and I plan on not using the batteries, instead I will be installing them in a recepticle. Do I still need to install the batteries in my cameras? Thank You

No you do not.... the cameras will run on the adapter alone.

( if left in it also will not over charge )

Nope, it’s actually better to run them
Without the battery installed if you plan on a permanent wired setup. Arlo states that the operating temperature can be increased before it needs to cook down from getting to hot. I believe it allows it to reach temps over 165 degrees.

Has anybody else had problems with the Wasserstein 16.5 ft. cable. The end of the cable is very difficult to insert into my Arlo Pro 2 camera. Its not a very secure connection. I need to have a secure connection so that I don't have to rely on my battery for power. Please help. Floridian Ralph

Floridian,

Arlo does not recommend using third-party accessories. For alternative powering solutions, take a look at the accessories listed here: Arlo Products and Accessories
