I live in a rural area and use a Neatgear Nighthawk MR1100 as my router and have my Arlo based plugged into it. I need greater distance (about 400 ft) for my cameras and was wondering if a WiFi extender would do it and if so any suggestions would be appreciated. Plug and play preferred as I am not that tech savvy.

Nope. You can use a WiFi extender (or a series of them) that connects to the M1's WiFi and plug a base station into it. It's theoretically possible but not necessarily for the faint of heart.

Glad to hear that it can be done. To clarify, I would connect the extender to my M1 and then plug the Arlo base station into the extender. I appreciate the help. I’ll give it a try.

Or you can run an ethernet cable out to another base up to about 300ft ( if there is power )
