I have 5 Arlo Pro 2 cameras and a VMB 4000 base station.

The cameras are all connected with Arlo AC adapters.

They all have have good wifi connection and no problems recording motion.

I know that Arlo limits live streaming to 30 minutes.

When I live stream, after between a few minutes and 15 minutes I get a camera timed out message and the live streaming stops.

It is different for each camera and changes - a camera that timed out after 3 minutes may go 15 minutes the next time.

I have occasionally had the full 30 minutes on a camera, but very rarely.

The problem is the same if I live stream on the web portal or using the app on my iPhone.

Has anyone had this problem? Why does it happen and is there a fix?

Thank you.

Anything in the whole network connection between your cameras and the servers can cause this although I don't think that would likely occur on a regular basis. WHat is your Internet upload speed as tested by speedtest.net? Is there any device that uses the 2.4GHz band (not just WiFi) that's near your base that could be causing interference? WHat happens if you use cell service, not WiFi?

Download is 50 Mbits/s and upload 5 Mbits/s.

There is an Apple Time Capsule next to the VMB4000 base station using 2.4GHz but nothing else.

The problem is exactly the same if I use the cell phone network not the wifi.

I have looked a the wifi network and only channel 1, 6 or 11 are used. I tried changing the router channel but it made no difference.

Try moving the base away from your Time Capsule to see if that helps.

I unplugged the Time Machine but it made no difference.

I can't understand it!

Has this always been a problem?  If not, do you know about when it began?

How far are your cameras from the base?

Hi,

I am pretty sure this has always been a problem.

The cameras are between 5 meters and 15 meters from the base station. The signal is good for all of them and there is no problem with recording movement.

Three cameras show the three bar maximum signal strength and two cameras show two bars.

About how long have you had the system?

And the 5 meter one also has issues when live streaming?

Are you connected to your home network when you live stream, or are you using your mobile data plan?

What is your internet upload speed?

Yes, the 5 meter one also has issues. All five are OK for maybe a few minutes or up to 15 minutes and occasionally the full 30 minutes. But each camera is different each time.

The internet is 50 Mbits/sec download and 5 Mbits/sec upload.

The problem is the same using the home network or my mobile data plan.
