I’m new to Arlo. I have the pro 2 system. I have one camera mounted outside and it picks up a bunch of irrelevant motion. I understood that I could filter out movement further out in my front yard like road traffic. Can’t gind my way to that functionality.

If the camera is running on battery, your options are confined to camera location, the direction in which the camera points and the motion sensitivity setting. Avoid high traffic areas, tree branches, anything that normally moves. The cameras don’t do well with direct oncoming motion, but do better with side to side motion. I believe the smart notifications allow you to choose which types of objects (vehicles, animals, people) you want to receive....though I have a Smart Elite subscription and have not been able to activate any of my cameras for this. Perhaps it requires a Pro 2 on wall power.
If you can power the Pro 2 with a power cable, you can set up motion zones and exclude problem areas with more precision.

Zones indicate which areas are to be included. The rest will be excluded.
These zones are not always 100% accurate so try and make the zone small where you want motion to trigger to the camera. If it's too small then keep on increasing it until you are happy with the results.

BTW, do you know how to delete a zone? I’m only able to create them.

Click on the current zone name under video settings for that camera and it should give you an option to delete it.
