I have a pair of Arlo Pro 2 wireless cameras monitoring my garden and environs to watch for animals trying to get in. I get regular alerts from motion or sound and up until about 4 o'clock this morning every alert was accompanied by a recording in my library.

After that the alerts continue to come in and if I look at the live view very often there is some activity triggering the alert, so the cameras are detecting motion OK but it's not getting saved to my library anymore. Obviously I didn't change any settings at 4 a.m. while I was asleep but I checked the settings anyway and they are set to record a video.

I watch these videos in my Android app so this is not a browser cache issue as it has been for some other people.
All my old recordings are still visible in the library.
I really like the Arlo product when it's working but in the short time I've had it there have been numerous problems with it software and I'm getting pretty fed up.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or sympathy!

... just a follow-up...
As an experiment I did a manual recording and that did get saved to the library!

...another followup . . .

In frustration I called their tech support.    I have two identical "Armed" modes ("Armed" and "Armed2" because the other day for a different issue their tech had me create a new one.)  It was set to "Armed2" when it failed.  All they had me do was switch to "Armed" and then back to "Armed2" again, without touching any settings.  And now it seems to work.

This is crazy.  The tech suggested it had something to do with the app on my phone but that makes no sense because my phone wasn't even turned on when the failure began.

When they work these cameras have been very useful for critter-control around my garden and fruit trees but I'm fed up with this flakiness.  Also the image-quality is marginal -  I've done some tests against true 1080p professional video cameras, and these aren't even close to their claimed1080p.    If I'm willing to go up-market, price-wise, to something more professional or industrial, as opposed to consumer-grade like Arlo, does anyone know what brands I should consider?
